I have been meaning to write this letter for more than a year to express my appreciation to the staff of the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) for the professional and cordial service they provide to those of us building within the district.
Every interaction I have had with the SCRD staff, whether it's in person, on the telephone or through correspondence, has left me with the answers I've needed. In addition, the staff has always been kind, thoughtful and supportive. My building site is somewhat unique and the staff has helped me resolve some challenging problems.
I live in the state of Washington, and I have consistently been frustrated with the lack of service I have received from my local building department. They could learn a great deal about serving the public from the SCRD building department staff.
I hope the people of the region understand how fortunate they are to have such quality professionals serving the Sunshine Coast.
