A little clean-up please

Editor: It's a perfect day in Sechelt. Hundreds of dolphins are in Trail Bay this morning (Saturday, Aug. 14). Maybe they are welcoming the many tourists attending the Writers Festival. We do have a pretty little town.

We do have a pretty little town. But has anyone noticed how filthy the public garbage cans are on Cowrie Street and in the parks. The bus shelter on Cowrie also needs a good scrub.

I actually pocket my garbage and take it home rather than have to touch one of our disgusting trash cans.

Yes, it is a minor complaint, but it bothers me, and I suspect it must bother many others as well. It is very simple to remedy. Send one of the staff out with a good power washer.
