Over two days last weekend, the Coast’s Tina Kaizer and six other teammates part of Team Sunshine Coast, rode 60 kilometres through the Frazer Valley raising awareness and funds for MS Society of Canada.

Kaizer was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1992, at 25.

For the past two decades, she’s been a realtor on the Coast but, with her MS progressing and work becoming more difficult, she decided to retire this year. But, she didn’t retire her bike. Last weekend was her and Team Sunshine Coast’s eighth MS Bike event.

“Being part of the event has been so exhilarating – I love to cycle and feel the speed, see the countryside, and feel the wind on my face,” Kaizer is quoted in a story on the MS Society of Canada website. “I love biking down the beautiful country roads, enjoying the rest stops at local vineyards and craft breweries in BC, and spending quality time with my supportive teammates!”

The team has raised $12,500 so far this year, but folks have until September to donate funds to help the cause.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our family and friends for taking the time to donate and support our team of riders!” Kaizer said in an email. “It means the world to us!

“I’d also like to sincerely thank my team for all their encouragement and support this year, and I look forward to doing it all over again in 2023.”

Call Kaizer at 604-741-5066 to connect for making a donation or if you would like more information on joining their bike team.
