The Sunshine Coast Storm U15 girls soccer team took Surrey for all the gold in the bank last weekend with an amazing well deserved first-place trophy championship finish.
The weekend started out slow with a very unlucky penalty shootout loss, but from then on it was full victory mode as they won all the rest of the weekend’s games to make themselves the gold medal winners of the annual Surrey Mayors Cup.
The final game against Chilliwack was a battle of wills and became an adrenaline rush for all to see. As the fans eyes were glued to the pitch, the coordinated passing and defending game of the Storm were an inspiration.
It was a fantastic way to end the 2017-18 season of wonderful soccer with stylish teamwork, amazing coaching mentorship, managerial greatness and fans that gave all year long.
