Trail Bay Source for Sports and Shoreside Strength & Conditioning raised more than $2,000 in their inaugural Summer Hardball Classic charity tournament this past weekend at Ryan Dempster Field.
The money will go towards youth player development in both the Sunshine Coast Minor Softball Association and the Sunshine Coast Baseball Association.
A total of five teams with players aged from 15 years old to 70+ competed in a full day of games and events that included a home run derby.
In the end Custom Flooring came away the champions edging out Shoreside Strength & Conditioning in the finals.
A huge thanks to all who donated their time to make the event happen including Dave Lasser who organized the umpires for the day, Aspen Wing who sold 50/50 tickets all day and Matt Morris from 91.7 Coast FM who provided commentary during each and every game.
