The week started with a thrilling victory for the Raiders, who secured a win against the Bears. Brad Kohuch delivered a stellar performance on the mound, leading the Raiders to triumph. Kohuch’s precise pitching kept the Bears’ hitters in check, setting the tone for a strong start to the week.

In the heat of Wednesday night, the Raiders faced off against the Barons in a highly anticipated matchup. Bill Stockwell started for the Raiders, while Josh Gray took the mound for the Barons. The Barons quickly established dominance, cashing in runs early and often. By the end of the third inning, the Barons had built a significant lead, allowing only one run from the Raiders.

The Barons’ offence was highlighted by a home run from Jackson and two impressive homers from Josh Gray. In the fourth inning, the veteran Weepy took over pitching duties for the Barons, successfully holding off the Raiders despite some powerful extra-base hits from Kyle Hamilton and Jack West. The Barons ultimately secured a commanding 12-4 victory, showcasing their offensive prowess and solid defense.

Friday night’s game saw a makeshift Lon’s Gun Show team face off against the Bears. Nolan Lewarne made his season debut on the mound for the Gun Show, while Mark Stewart continued to show progress as a pitcher for the Bears. The highlight of the game came when Josh hit a grand slam for the Gun Show, contributing significantly to their offensive effort.

Danny Beyers was a standout player, going 5 for 6 at the plate and scoring five runs. Jackson and Eli Dill both demonstrated their skill and agility by sliding into third base to avoid being tagged out. Eli also showed off his defensive prowess by turning an unassisted triple play.  Despite a valiant effort from Steve Partridge, who came in to relieve Mark Stewart, Lon’s Gun Show emerged victorious, winning the game handily.

As week four concludes, the fastpitch baseball season continues to deliver exciting matchups and impressive performances. Fans eagerly await the next round of games, with each team striving to secure their place at the top of the standings.
