Ten skaters represented the Sunshine Coast Skating Club (SCSC) last weekend, bringing home one bronze, four silver and four gold at the BC Coast Regional Championships/Winterskate competition held in North Delta.
With 600 skaters registered to participate in over 37 categories from STAR 1-10, Competitive Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile and many Special O events, the SCSC skaters brought home an impressive number of ribbons and medals.
The club was extremely proud of each of its skaters who braved the difficult, snowy conditions to represent the Coast and the club. Helena Vourtsis also attended but due to an unfortunate on-ice accident was unable to compete. The SCSC wishes her a speedy and complete recovery.
