Repair work to the five boardwalks at Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park is expected to be completed at the end of March, after weather-related damage closed the park in November 2021.
The rotten railings, decking and substructure of the boardwalks need to be repaired or replaced, as the bridges over the water and pond were impacted by high water.
“The health and safety of people and the environment at Smuggler Cove remain a top priority,” a Ministry of Environment statement said.
