Gibsons will play host to the Coast's first annual Wellness Fest next weekend.
The event at Gibsons Public Market will see more than 25 local wellness artisans and businesses gather over Global Wellness Weekend for workshops, classes, music and food from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 10 and 11. The overall event is free entry but some classes have fees.
The event, which organizers say is the first of its kind on the Coast, is borne of a partnership between Gibsons Community Building Society (GCBS) and Sunshine Coast Credit Union and spans the spectrum of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental and financial wellness.
“Our goal is to celebrate the many wonderful wellbeing practitioners and artisans who call the Coast home, while connecting locals and tourists alike, in a meaningful way," said GCBS community impact manager Hayley Judge in a press release.
"Well-being is an interconnection between all types of wellness including physical, mental, emotional, and financial," the credit union's chief impact and marketing officer, Jodi Fichtner, said in the release. "With thanks to the Market and all of the participating entrepreneurs, this will be an engaging and fun opportunity for people to gather and learn about these and more, all under one roof.”
