Members of the Sechelt Fire Department were at Friendship Park on Wednesday, Feb. 17 to test the pressure and streaming distance of their newest fleet addition – a Pierce Ascendant 100-ft. Aerial Tower truck.
“The results were very impressive,” said Fire Chief Trevor Pike.
Members will be in training for the next two months, and new policies and procedures for its operations must also be implemented. The goal is for the truck to be in service by the end of March, Pike said.
