According to Weatherhood, the lower Sunshine Coast will be breaking into double digit temperatures by 10:55 a.m. on May 8, when one of the twice-a-year tests of the national emergency alert system jars cellphones, along with radio and television broadcasts.
From the 10C value predicted for that point, temperatures should be on their way upward throughout the day to highs of around 14C. Those days time highs will increase over the coming days, reaching 20 degrees on Friday, May 10. Slightly cooler days, in the 15C to 16C range are forecast to arrive by Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12.
