Precipitation measured at Environment Canada’s weather station at Sechelt airport during April 2024 totalled 62.7 mm; just over half the volume of 102 mm that fell during the same month last year. That source reported rain in the overnight hours leading to May 1 at that location.
Weatherhood predicts a dry day as we start a new month, with temperatures reaching a high of 12C for our area. Continued dry conditions are forecast for Thursday and Friday, with highs reaching 16C.
The Coast is set to collect more rain as we move into May. From late Friday, through the weekend and up to Tuesday of next week plus Saturday and Monday, the rains are predicted to return to Coast communities.
