Sunshine Coast RCMP respond to sudden death on a Sechelt beach

Sunshine Coast RCMP have notified the next of kin of a man found dead on a beach in Sechelt Friday. 

Around 10:45 a.m., Sept. 22, the police were called to a beach at the south end of Inlet Avenue in Sechelt, where a man was believed to be deceased. 

Both RCMP and BC Emergency Health Services went to the scene, and confirmed the death of a 35-year-old man. A press release from the RCMP issued on Sept. 26 states the man was "known to police and had been living on the Sunshine Coast for approximately 2 years." The release said the death is not deemed suspicious, and the BC Coroners Service will have conduct of the file.
