Recent heavy rains have damaged Highway 101 west of Langdale, forcing a road closure until Friday.
“Drivers are advised that Highway 101 west of Langdale is closed in both directions between Marine Drive and Stewart Road,” said a Jan. 6 release from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
The release said the closure is needed for crews to repair the road base on a section of the highway “weakened by recent heavy rain” and the road will be closed until Jan. 8.
To access the Langdale ferry terminals drivers should take North Road.
