The District of Sechelt has cancelled its December 18 budget planning public participation sessions.
This second round of budget discussion has been postponed because no changes have been made to the draft budget since the first session.
The first round of budget deliberations began on Nov. 21., where a 9.17 per cent tax was proposed to account for a deficit of $1,162,776.
The initial report also included $2.1 million in new operating requests for items including
a drainage master plan and a $33 increase to garbage fees.
The district plans to reschedule the public session for January pending any change requests from council.
