School District 46 has appointed a new manager of information technology, Prasan Naik.
Naik will join the school district as of May 6.
“I'm eager to join the dynamic team at SD46, where I hope to both learn from my colleagues and
contribute my expertise,” he said in the school district release.
Naik comes with over a decade of experience in Information Technology (IT) within the post-secondary education system in Alberta and is well-practiced in project management, server infrastructure oversight, ERP systems and data analytics.
“My journey to SD46 comes from a desire to transition to the education sector in B.C., especially on the scenic Sunshine Coast,” said Naik.
Superintendent Kate Kerr said that Naik’s comprehensive experience and leadership in IT and his commitment to the advancement of education and technology make him “perfectly aligned with our district's pursuit of innovative educational solutions for our students and staff."
