Rockwater Secret Cove Resort has recently been named one of Canada’s top 25 most unique accommodations by Flight Network, an online Canadian-owned travel agency.

Flight Network fell in love with Rockwater’s collection of tree houses that overlook Malaspina Strait, which ultimately led the travel agency to name the local resort as one of Canada’s most unique.

Flight Network noted Rockwater’s “secret tree house complex offers a luxurious stay in the woods, where each room comes with a private terrace and a soaker tub.”

Other unique aspects of Rockwater include a boardwalk among the trees, an open-air spa and a stunning location that consistently wows visitors.

Assistant general manager Rod Morrison said it’s the location that draws people in because “there’s nothing like it.”

“We also have the spa without walls, which is quite unique, and then we do the spa in our first tent-house in the wintertime so people get the experience of the waves coming up along the beach and people love it when it’s raining because you can hear the rain on the tent,” Morrison said.

Rockwater boasts over 50,000 guests a year and has recently renovated the restaurant, washrooms and lobby area as well as some of the suites to keep the facility fresh and inviting.

Rockwater Secret Cove Resort made the top 25 most unique accommodations alongside vacation destinations like Hotel de Glace in Quebec City, which is made out of 15,000 tons of snow and offers beds of ice for guests, and Goldenwood Lodge in Golden, B.C., which offers teepees with built-in beds for guests to enjoy.
