Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking witnesses and the driver of an SUV involved in a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of Independent Grocer in Sechelt on Tuesday, June 15.
According to a witness, an SUV hit and knocked over a parked motorcycle around 4:30 p.m. The witness told the motorcycle owner that a “shiny light blue SUV with a female driver in her 60s had rolled into the motorcycle, knocking it over in the parking lot,” police said.
“The driver got out of her vehicle, looked at the damaged motorcycle and then drove away without waiting or leaving a note for the motorcycle owner.”
Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking the SUV driver to contact police about the incident. If anyone else witnessed the collision, and can provide any further information, please call the RCMP at 604-885-2266 and reference file number 2021-3906.
