Sunshine Coast RCMP have confirmed they’re investigating complaints of death threats and anti-Semitic comments posted using social media accounts based in Sechelt.
The RCMP’s BC Hate Crime Team is also involved in the investigation.
In a statement July 24 Sunshine Coast RCMP said, "At this time, the RCMP does not believe there is a threat to the public. However, we recognize that the nature of these threats are of concern to the public... The RCMP encourages all victims of hate to report these incidents to police or community leaders so appropriate steps can be taken to address the issue."
The RCMP said it would not be making any further comments as the investigation is still ongoing.
