As part of the celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre, the Arts Council is hosting a cheese tasting on Saturday, April 24, at the Arts Centre at 7 p.m.
This will be no ordinary mousetrap and plonk event, but the chance to taste cheeses selected from the famous cheese shop, Les Amis du Fromage. The cheeses will be in perfect condition and be examples of the best of their kind from all over the globe.
The appropriate wines and music suitable to soothe the soul and the wildest cheeses will accompany the tasty samples.
This is a chance to taste some of the world's greatest products in the convivial atmosphere of one of Sechelt's most treasured venues.
Ticket price, which includes wine, is $25 per person or $45 per couple. Tickets will be available at the Arts Centre, Talewind Books and Coast Books from April 9 to 21. The reason for the ticket date is so the cheese can be bought in a known quantity and be conditioned to be exactly as intended by the craftsmen who made it. This is a taste experience that no gourmet or cheese fancier can afford to miss. On April 24, say "cheese please!"
