Sechelt Hospital Foundation and the Rotary Clubs of the Lower Sunshine Coast teamed up to purchase a new portable digital X-ray machine, helping radiologists and physicians at the hospital obtain fast, accurate diagnostic imaging right at the bedside.
The new technology saves precious time in the critical care of trauma patients or patients under anesthetic, because of its versatility and image quality.
The new machine will also function as a back-up X-ray unit for the main hospital departments, as well as playing an important role in any disaster situation.
