BC Ferries has cancelled a round trip between Blubber Bay (Texada Island) and Westview (Powell River) terminals due to medical emergency on board Island Discovery.
At 9:03 am on Tuesday, April 30, the ferry company announced that the 8:35 am departure from Westview, which had been delayed due to the incident, and 9:20 am return from Blubber Bay would not run.
Other sailings on this route are expected to proceed as scheduled, according the BC Ferries, beginning with the 10:20 am sailing departing Westview. For up-to-date sailing and departure information, go to bcferries.com.
