Lots to do at upcoming fair

Attention artisans and crafters: space for the fifth annual fall fair in Gibsons is filling up fast. The fair is set for Oct. 8 and 9 at Quality Farm and Garden from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Tables are selling out quickly, so if you were thinking of participating, act fast. If you have not received a packet of information in the mail, please phone Jill-Marie Wilson at 604-886-3445, or email [email protected] to receive one in the mail.

Gardeners: don't forget organizers are looking forward to the creative gardening and scarecrow displays.

Feel free to phone and see what categories there are for your special entry.

And don't leave the kiddies out of the competitions. All Coast schools are encouraged to participate. Why not challenge another school in the scarecrow making contest?

All proceeds from this event are donated to local charities, so come and support the community.The Lions Club trailer will be on hand selling juicy hamburgers and fresh coffee. The never tiring hospital auxiliary will be there with loads of fresh baking and handmade crafts. And the quilters will have another fabulous display.

Bring the family, bring the guests. There is something for everyone. It's a perfect opportunity to pick up a fresh pie and loaf of bread for your Thanksgiving dinner or a lovely centre-piece for your table. And don't forget, Christmas is right around the corner. What better time than now to start your shopping for that special someone?
