The Sunshine Coast RCMP Street Crew has been busy the past few weeks busting up several drug operations on the Coast.

During the first week of March, the Street Crew executed two search warrants on a home in Sechelt.

"As a result of these searches, a significant amount of cash and drugs were seized," said Sgt. Gerry Webb. "Charges against three local people will be forwarded to Crown counsel upon completion of the investigation."

In February a Gibsons male and female were arrested during a drug trafficking investigation.

Webb said a luxury vehicle valued in excess of $50,000 was seized as offence related property.

He said police are seeking to have the vehicle forfeited to the Crown. Charges will also be forwarded when the investigation is complete.

"RCMP want to remind the citizens of the Sunshine Coast that the sale and production of illegal drugs can have a negative impact on the livability of your neighbourhood," said Webb. "Information from the general public is invaluable in assisting police investigations. Information will remain anonymous if requested."

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact either Crimestoppers or constables Don Newman or Bryson Hill at the Sechelt detachment at 604-885-2266.
