Banff Mountain world tour comes to Gibsons

The Tetrahedron Outdoor Club is a non-profit society that promotes outdoor recreation on the Sunshine Coast. For the past six years, the club has presented the world-renowned Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour on the Sunshine Coast.

For the past six years, the club has presented the world-renowned Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour on the Sunshine Coast. This year the showing is on Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at Elphinstone Secondary School in Gibsons. Tickets for $12 are available at Coast Books, Talewind Books, Alpha Adventures, Family Sports, Daily Roast, On the Edge Bike Shop, Pier 17, Roberts Creek General Store and Spin Cycles.

The funds raised as a result of this film tour have been applied to maintenance of the Tetrahedron Provincial Park cabins, roadway and trails. The community has benefited in improved facilities and access to this popular and unique part of the Sunshine Coast. In the past year, the club has also made financial contributions to the ongoing development of the Dakota Bowl winter recreation area.
