The BC Lung Association invites the public to a free, interactive family workshop on how air pollution affects health.

June Yoo Rifkin, air quality health educator at the BC Lung Association, will facilitate the workshop, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 19, at the Gibsons Public Library.

This workshop will provide hands-on activities to raise awareness of sources of air pollution, how it moves and what we can do to help preserve the air we breathe.

"Air pollutants from one person affect another. We all share the air," said Yoo Rifkin. "Local sources of air pollution, such as wood burning, can seep into the homes of neighbours. Thus, it's important everyone take steps to learn their role in keeping the air clean."

The workshop, which offers refreshments, snacks and prizes, is designed for families and offers activities for all ages. Space is limited so please RSVP to Yoo Rifkin at 1-800-665-5864.
