The annual Elves Club Telethon — an initiative of Eastlink Community TV and RE/MAX City Realty — will be broadcast live on Eastlink Channel 610 on Saturday, Dec. 3. The broadcast begins at 2 p.m. and runs for six hours. Meanwhile, first responders will be soliciting donations at locations throughout the Sunshine Coast. Monies collected are used to purchase gift cards for struggling families.
The Elves Club lineup includes a veritable who’s who of Sunshine Coast performing artists. The North Shore Celtic Ensemble will also make an appearance at 3:20 p.m., followed later in the afternoon by the Coast String Fiddlers. All three dance studios will appear (Waldorf Ballet, Gibsons Dance Centre and Coast Academy of Dance), plus the Sunshine Coast Skating Club, as well as dozens of soloists and ensembles.
