Everyone is invited to the Young Life Sunshine Coast Annual Fundraiser featuring singer/songwriter Jonah Werner on Saturday, March 4, at the Raven’s Cry Theatre. The event starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of the event is to raise $25,000 and increase monthly support by $3,000 per month in order to hire a full-time Young Life staff person for the Sunshine Coast and continue working with youth in Gibsons, Sechelt and Pender Harbour. Young Life Sunshine Coast is Christian outreach to youth on the Sunshine Coast and started in 2012 with a small committee and part-time staff person working in Gibsons. Since then, hundreds of youth have attended weekly club get-togethers and over 60 youth have gone to camp at Young Life’s RockRidge Canyon over the past four summers.
Werner is an internationally touring singer/songwriter from Colorado who will share his music and testimony, along with music from the Crossroads Church band and information about Young Life Sunshine Coast. Great door prizes and refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $10 in advance, available at www.younglife.ca/events, MELOmania, Strait Music, Laedeli or EarthFair Store. Tickets at the door are $15. It will be a sold out event so get your tickets early!
