The inaugural Sechelt Family Arts Festival (July 31, Aug. 1) is pleased to announce the addition to the festival of a one-week juried exhibition of art works by Sunshine Coast artists in the Seaside Centre. Internationally-renowned artist- Britton Francis will act as juror and will form the show from 2D and 3D pieces.
A call for submissions is ongoing with one piece from each applicant. Drop off time at Seaside Centre is 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 28.
Works will be for sale with docents in attendance during exhibition hours. The District of Sechelt will provide insurance for the duration of the exhibition.
Free public viewing hours for the exhibition will be 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, July 30 through Aug. 5, at the Seaside Centre.
The Sunshine Coast Arts Centre will also be running an invitational exhibition of artists who have exhibited during the past 25 years to celebrate their silver jubilee. This show will run July 6 through Aug. 8.
