Unifor1119, Sunshine Coast Labour Council, and Kins Club hosted “Breakfast with Santa” for the community in Gibsons on Sunday, Dec. 8. Thank you to our friends and guests for bringing the food bank donations.

The Joanettes are a group of women in Gibsons who love to sing. It was delightful that we were invited to sing at the Dec.

The tide was at it’s only low of the day in the early hours of the morning when Pop, Barrie Ian Hermanson, passed at Sechelt Hospital, Sunday, November 24.

'From her early days as the self-appointed Town Fool of Victoria, her Dadaist years, her European tours, the Banana Olympics in Surrey, her Mail Art and production of Artist Stamp editions, Anna pursued a unique career as a serious clown. Anna drew attention through humour and art to the human condition and our connections with one another.'

The holiday season is here, bringing festive events and support services for people of all ages in our community.

I am writing this week as the wind howls, it feels a little bit like I’m playing chicken with an impending power outage as my lights dim in and out.
