At last year’s Teddy Bear Hospital, stuffed toys underwent mock medical check-ups as part of an event to make healthcare more approachable for kids.

Sunday, March 30, the Teddy Bear Hospital, a delightful, interactive event designed to familiarize children with the medical world in a friendly, engaging way, returns.

Young participants are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals for a “check-up” by healthcare professionals. The goal is to reduce anxiety around medical care while making the experience fun and educational.

Following last year’s success, this year’s event will once again provide an enriching experience for families, while also supporting a vital community cause.

Funds raised from this event will be donated to Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue, reinforcing the community’s dedication to those who volunteer their time to help others in need.

Additionally, Search and Rescue will be sending volunteers to run a Teddy Bear Rescue Station, where children can learn about emergency response in a fun and interactive way.

There are two sessions for the event at Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens:

• Morning Session: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Afternoon Session: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
