Colin Stansfield is stepping down as executive director of the Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Organization.
Colin has accepted a position with another organization, and it is with great reluctance that the SRCEDO Board has received Colin’s resignation, effective March 31. Colin has served in his current ED role since 2019, where he oversaw our critical operation and management processes while leading by example and acting as a key liaison with other agencies associated with economic development on the Coast.
“Colin has been a mentor to many, and his influence has made an indelible impact on the professionals on the Board. I want to thank Colin for all he’s done for the development and progress of SCREDO over the past 4+ years,” said Micki McCartney, president of SCREDO.
“Colin has been a key addition to the SCREDO team and his keen interactions with our four funding governments, plus his work ethic, command of complexity, devotion and client focus have been exemplary at the Board,” said John Sutherland, treasurer of SCREDO.
The Sunshine Coast Economic Development Organization performs economic development functions on behalf of four local governments. It was created in 2016 and received its first full year of funding in 2017. SCREDO is the point of contact for all economic development and investment inquiries for the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. The four funders are the Town of Gibsons, District of Sechelt, Sunshine Coast Regional District and the Sechelt Indian Government District.
