Terry’s vision for increasing cancer research has been kept alive by the Terry Fox Foundation that coordinates annual runs in more than 650 communities across Canada. Since Terry’s death in 1981 (one month before he would have turned 23), more than $850 million has been raised in support of cancer research.

The Gibsons Terry Fox Run, held Sept. 15 in Brothers Park, saw 70 participants (runners, walkers, bikers, and four-footed trotters) and raised over $3,000. These funds will be matched by Mary Findlay and her husband Dr. Don Bland.
