On Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. runners, walkers, skateboarders, strollers, bikers and roller bladers will set off to honour Terry Fox who championed the cause of conquering cancer.

His determination and strength is an inspiration to all ages, abilities and attitudes. Come out to the Gibsons and Area Community Centre beginning at 8:30 a.m. for an early start and registration and hang out as we warm up and get started at 9:30 for a 10 km, five km, three km or one km route in the Gibsons area avoiding the highway as much as possible.

Funds raised through donations and sponsorships are directed to cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation. Fox's family continues their involvement with the organization ensuring the direction of funds and goals reflect his intention as he set off across Canada on his epic run. Join us in the effort towards understanding and managing cancer as it affects so many Canadians of all ages.

Last year the participation and funds raised in Gibsons exceeded past years, thanks to the enthusiastic Sunshine Coast community support.
