The Rotary Club of Sechelt organized 1,200 heartfelt and handwritten Valentine thank-you cards for health care workers on the Sunshine Coast again this year.
We're grateful to every one of our health care workers for their wonderful and dedicated service to us and wanted to show our appreciation with cards and chocolates. Rotary also wishes to thank all the creative and caring card writers! Especially the elementary school students who created awesome thank-you cards.
This year we delivered to the Sechelt Hospital, including the mental health building, home care services, ambulatory, medical imaging, OBYGN, all locums, et al., including cleaners, security and food service staff. Plus four health clinics; two private clinics; three long-term care facilities; two ophthalmology clinics; three dental clinics; two LifeLabs; three Raincity buildings; three ambulance buildings; two midwives; and also four firehalls!
Just to draw attention to the health care workers at the Sechelt Hospital, we will again be flying a cluster of Canadian flags outside the hospital around Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is not just about flowers and romantic cards, it’s about compassion, respect and honour for our friends and fellow human beings. All the traits shown by the Sunshine Coast healthcare workers.
Rotary supporting our communities.
