RCM SAR Station 12 (Halfmoon Bay) held a silent auction fundraiser at Batch44 on Feb. 23. The sellout event was a very successful fundraiser, Robin Merriott told Coast Reporter, though the final amount is still being tallied. The three crew members who recently rescued a man from Poise Island in Sechelt Inlet after his boat capsized (John Howcroft, Michael Metcalfe and Duncan Smith) were also congratulated by station leader Adam Hoult at the event.
