For the past seven years, donations to Lyn Charlton’s “Spreading Kindness Fundraiser” were able to assist local youth and families in need throughout the year by supporting the “Pender Harbour Community School Youth and Families Support Program.” Funds are used to purchase essential supplies, food security support and to address the specific needs of youth and families locally in need all year long. Additionally, funds are used to help youth and families locally in need at Christmas, providing food security support, gifts, and clothing. The need continues to be great, especially with the incredible increase in the cost of living. Lyn has partnered with the PH Rotary to enable anyone to donate online in a quick and secure manner. Donors will receive an email confirming their donation was received. To donate online, e-transfer to [email protected], please note “Spreading Kindness,” or mail a cheque payable to PH Rotary, (“Spreading Kindness” in memo) to PH Rotary, c/o 4202 Packalen Blvd, Garden Bay, BC, V0N 1S1. This year, Lyn has also placed Christmas Toy and Gift Giving Boxes at the local IGA, Legion, Pharmacy, John Henrys and Rona for donations of unwrapped or wrapped labelled toys or gifts for local children in need, ages three to 12. If more info is required, please contact Lyn at [email protected] or 604-741-5068.
