This Grammy award-winning mandolinist light-heartedly refers to his twice-Juno nominated group, The Jaybirds, as a “gateway bluegrass band” – roots music with enough drive and energy to be true bluegrass, but folky enough to be perfect for any audience. The Pender Harbour Women’s Connection will be celebrating their 26th anniversary Feb. 11. This organization has been bringing women together for companionship, entertainment, and informative presentations for over a quarter of a century.
