Maureen Dawn Moorby (nee Ogston) aged 81, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024 at Sechelt Hospital after a short battle with aggressive cancer. Maureen was born at Vancouver General Hospital on August 23, 1943, she was predeceased by husband John, and her parents. Maureen taught school in the South Okanagan, Burnaby and the Sunshine Coast. After retirement, she became involved in various organizations, but her passion was always animal welfare. She was blessed to have many friends and neighbours who were always there for her. Maureen requested there be no service. Any donations may be made to the SPCA, the Fur Bearers or any animal organization of your choosing. She wished to thank the entire Hospital Staff and Doctors for the exemplary care provided to her. Maureen is survived by a legion of friends who will sorely miss her!
