Kasey Tyler Pentzek, 41, passed away September 3, 2023 in Gibsons, BC.
Kasey was born to Ralf and Gail Pentzek (nee Coan) on March 9, 1982, and spent his formative years in Richmond, BC. Upon graduating from SFU he moved to New Westminster and started his dream job of working for Electronic Arts. Eventually moving to Coquitlam with the love of his life, Bonnie Thompson.
After working hard to advance, he was given the opportunity to further his career by moving abroad. Kasey and Bonnie then embarked on a two-and-a-half year adventure of work, travel, and making many new friends.
The start of 2020 brought adversity: the passing of his mother-in-law, the shutting down of his office abroad, and being diagnosed with cancer. Kasey and Bonnie then moved to Gibsons where he was lovingly cared for by his parents, sister, Vicki, and brother-in-law, Isaac Murphy.
While facing many health challenges, Kasey always maintained his loving attitude and tried to squeeze life into his days through time with family and friends, travel, movies, video games, and enjoyment of life.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. F*#K CANCER!
