Surrounded by love and gratitude, Gwendolyn Helen Boyte (born March 26, 1927) set off on a new journey from her home in Roberts Creek on August 12, 2024. She reluctantly leaves behind her devoted husband of 74 years, Bill Boyte; their three children, John (Janys), Elizabeth, and David Boyte; four grandchildren, Ian (Danielle) Gibson, Serena (Bruce) Hawryluk, Jessica (Luke) Till and Lucas (Diane) Boyte; and five great-grandchildren. She loved them all dearly and was well loved in return.

An artist, musician, avid flower gardener and fearless learner, Gwen dedicated herself to mastering her tasks and hobbies with joyful intention. As a passionate Kindergarten teacher for over 20 years, her positive attitude and true delight in children touched many families on the Sunshine Coast. She will be remembered for her glowing smile, her genuine care for others, her delicious homemade pies and the love she had for her family. We will all hold the memories of our time together close in our hearts.

Rest in peace and beauty, dear Gwen, Mom, Nana, Auntie.
