October 28, 1936 - March 22, 2023
Our beautiful mother, Erika Emma Herold, passed away on March 22, at home, in Gibsons, B.C. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ulrike Herold and Sabine Savoie ( Brian ), by her grandchildren, Sye Savoie and Claire Savoie ( Luke Van Zyl ), in addition to all of her family members in Toronto, Edmonton, Germany and Mexico. Erika was predeceased by her husband Lothar Herold. Mom was a remarkable homemaker, cook, baker, and gardener. She had incredible style and could make a $10 frock look like a million bucks. Sadly she suffered from dementia in her later years. We will miss her every day of our lives.
