March 19, 1939 – February 14, 2024
June was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and moved to Powell River in her early years. She met Peter while attending high school. She went on to acquire her Registered Nurse training and married Peter in 1959. They were married 64 years.
Their early years of marriage were spent in Vancouver where they welcomed three of their five daughters. They moved to Sechelt where they completed the family of five girls. Throughout these years, June continued her nursing career at Lions Gate Hospital, St. Mary’s Sechelt, St. Mary’s New Westminster, and Mission Memorial Hospital.
She was an advocate for natural healing remedies, exercise and healthy eating. She loved gardening, walks in the woods, reading, sewing and cooking delicious healthy meals.
June is survived by Peter, her daughters Charlotte Branham, Ava Hardie, Grace Sparling, Dawn (Andrew) Espezel, and Alison Bandi; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be held March 7, 2024 10:30am at Woodlawn Funeral Home Mission, BC.
