She was an author of "Carmen Remembers”, an actress, an activist, a teacher, a principal, a volunteer for the Native Brotherhood, and she was the president of the Victoria Friendship Center. She joined pulling together becoming apart of and starting her own Canoe family. She loved nature, honored Mother Earth, helped others and held space for them when needed, as well as physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially supporting others when needed. She put a prayer up for all in need, calling prayer warriors to help. She kept a candle lit for others. Her goals in life were being a rememberer and sharing knowledge. Her goals were to protect the land and to feed the people. Her favorite saying was "Put It on the Wind".

She is survived by her children, Gealdine Lolita Louise Fenn, Richard Andrew Higgins, Holly-ann Higgins and her grandchildren Colin Fenn, Christine Fearn, Parker Higgins, and Robert Higgins and adopted grandchildren Max Pierce and Cara Cutler.

Her celebration of life will be shared with her grandson, Adrian Jared Higgins, on November 26th starting at 10 am. Speeches followed by a burning, and a potluck luncheon. For more info call Holly 604-740-1322. All friends and family are welcome.
