Sponsorships help enable KidSport to provide increased grants of $400 per child to cover rising registration fees, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent children under 18 from participating in B.C.-registered sports. With the community’s support and various fundraising efforts, KidSport Sunshine Coast has granted $15,633 to 54 children last year, directly benefiting local families. The initiative underscores the importance of sports in fostering academic improvement, leadership skills, safer communities, inclusivity, and healthy habits, all while ensuring that every dollar raised stays within the community.
