The Sunshine Coast Electric Vehicle Association is very proud to announce that our chair and co-founder, John R. Henderson, has been elected secretary of the Global EV Alliance (“GEVA”).
GEVA is a network of electric vehicle drivers’ organizations from around the globe, including 60 associations in 35 countries with a combined membership of over 320,000.
As secretary, Mr. Henderson is responsible for coordinating the worldwide activities of GEVA including hosting the monthly meetings of the leaders of GEVA member organizations.
“I am honoured to hold this position,” said Henderson. “GEVA is a unique alliance of associations from all corners of the globe, each of whom is committed to supporting the adoption of electric vehicles of all types.”
“It is also recognition of the leading role we, as the Sunshine Coast Electric Vehicle Association, have played locally and nationally over the last several years,” he said.
GEVA was formed in 2021 for drivers to share best practices and emerging technologies, to be the voice of EV drivers in policy discussions and to support and inspire the creation of new drivers organizations.
