The lovely Harbour Gallery will now open Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as the summer season ends. I visited the gallery many times enjoying the warm wonderful vibe surrounded by masterpieces of all sizes and mediums created by our exceptionally talented local artists. I have treated myself to wonderful prints, cards to send (maybe) and delightful little sketch and notebooks. I always come away happy and inspired and with a wishlist for my next visit! Treat yourself and visit this treasure by the sea. The gallery artists extend a heartfelt thank you to all who came to the gallery this summer. It was a busy one!

More talent to enjoy, musical this time, at the Pender Harbour School of Music Coffee House Friday Sept. 9. Van Django returns! Pender Harbour Music Society brings back the outrageously popular gypsy jazz group to the School of Music Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. Van Django’s performances are brimming with the music of Django Reinhardt delightfully woven with the creative, often humorous twisting of modern-day standards. Yes, I am a huge fan. Yes, I have my tickets and you should too! Tickets online $30 at penderharbourmusic.ca/concert-tickets/.
