Body of Light, Gordon Halloran’s latest project for theatre and film and theme to this year’s Sechelt Arts Festival, announces the launch of an Indiegogo campaign to help fund the ambitious project.
Inspired by his own surprise experience with illness, Halloran has been developing ideas for the show for the past year. The theatrical event will express itself in multiple genres and celebrate the myriad human emotions experienced when one falls ill and learns to deal with the human body in a vulnerable state.
In the interactive stage piece, Halloran explores the contradictions, rituals, emotions, variety, humour and surprise of moving from a besieged state to getting well. He will be interviewing healers of all stripes on film.
