HALFMOON BAY

This is a very busy weekend for St. Mary's Hospital/Health Care Auxiliary members.

In celebration of the recognition of the contribution that their volunteers play in our society and a big thank you to everyone for their outstanding support, this Saturday, May 10 is Auxiliary Day. Volunteers dressed in blue and white, will have three tribute marches.

The first will take place from 10 to 10:15 a.m. starting at the Pender Harbour Legion where area regional district director Frank Mauro will greet the group. They will then continue to march down the main street to the IGA.

The second march is from noon to 12:15 p.m. starting at Trail Bay Mall in Sechelt where Sechelt Mayor John Henderson will greet the group. The march will then continue along Cowrie Street to the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store.

The third march will be in Gibsons outside London Drugs at 2 p.m. where Mayor Wayne Rowe will provide a greeting. The march will then continue through Sunnycrest Mall.

The Halfmoon Bay branch is hosting is bake, craft and plant sale also this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trail Bay Mall.

The Halfmoon Bay branch holds its regular meeting this Monday, May 12 at 9:45 a.m. at Coopers Green. All are welcome to attend.

Pickleball continues on Monday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School.

Drop-in fee is $3. All equipment is provided.

Sunshine Coast Regional District Halfmoon Bay director Gary Nohr continues to make himself available between 10 a.m. and noon on Fridays at the Halfmoon Bay Café to answer any questions regarding the Halfmoon Bay official community plan.
