The construction of Gibsons Seniors Society (GSS)’s much-needed expansion and dining room will begin this month.
Sod turning was by Woody Woodman, who very generously donated $25,000 to provide the initiative to begin the process of expansion and his wife Anne MacLachlan (middle) who has been a member of and worked tirelessly at the GSS for many years.
Their vision will provide a wonderful meeting place for years to come for Gibsons seniors. Arthur Geikie (left), building committee chair, and Manfred Scholerman, president of GSS (right), joined them to break ground.
To contribute to this exciting project by making a donation, to become a member of the GSS, to volunteer or to ask a question, come to the Gibsons Seniors Society at Harmony Hall, 686 Harmony Lane, Gibsons, V0N 1V8, email [email protected] or call 604-886-3919.
For donations $200 and more, a tax receipt will be issued. Please visit the hall. See you there!
